Day 1, Sat. Porec
Meeting and assistance and transfer to the port for embarkation (starting at 2:00 p.m.) Enjoy the welcome dinner this evening and meet the tour director and fellow passengers. (D)
Day 2, Sun. Porec – Rovinj – Brijuni National Park – Pula
Sailing along the Istrian Peninsula, stop in the romantic town of Rovinj. Walk around the old town’s cobbled narrow streets, winding at the foot of the Church of St. Euphemia, the favorite gathering place of artists from around the world. Continue sailing to Brijuni National Park, once the personal State Summer Residence of President Marshal Josip Broz Tito. Experience the unique harmony of flora, fauna and heritage. After the visit lunch on board before reaching Pula said to be one of the most beautiful of Istrian cities. Visit the Amphitheatre. Remainder of day at leisure in Pula. (B, L)
Day 3, Mon. Mali Losinj – Zadar
This morning visit Mali Losinj located on the island by the same name. With its mild climate, pinewoods and air the island of Mali Losinj is an ideal place to recreate the body and spirit. Lunch on board during the sailing towards Zadar with a swim stop at one of the small islands en-route. Enjoy dinner on board this evening. (B, L, D)
Day 4, Tue. Zadar – Krka National Park – Primosten
After breakfast enjoy the sightseeing tour of Zadar, a city of exceptional history and rich cultural heritage. Zadar’s historical center is a compact pedestrian one, perfect to explore on foot. See the old walls built in the 16th century by the Venetians as a defense from the Turks. Also see the Port Gate where the Venetian lion still guards the entrance, the Square of the Five Wells, the Church of St. Donat, the Roman Forum and the largest cathedral in Dalmatia – St. Anastasia. Enjoy lunch on board and sail to Vodice and continue to Krka National Park with its magnificent waterfalls. After the visit continue by motorcoach to Primosten where the ship will be anchored. Enjoy the evening in town. (B, L)
Day 5, Wed. Split – Hvar
Start the day with a walking tour of Split featuring the historic inner city built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Board the ship for lunch and cruise to Hvar, Croatia’s sunniest island. It is a favorite holiday destination for interna- tional celebrities. The walking tour explores the eight centuries of architecture and vistas of the old town with the picturesque little streets and the first public theatre in Europe. This evening is free to explore the cafes, craft shops and restaurants some of which are tucked into old Venetian palaces. (B, L)
Note: Due to the limited capacity of the Hvar harbor (during peak season – July & August) the port of call may be substituted for Stari Grad/Jelsa. In that case transfer by bus will be organized to and from Hvar.
Day 6, Thu. Korcula – Mljet
Sailing on the clear waters of the Adriatic arrive in the magical island of Korcula and its fairy-tale like walled town bearing the same name and believed to be the birthplace of Marco Polo. After breakfast explore the old city through its narrow cobbled streets including a visit to the majestic Gothic-Baroque Cathedral of St. Mark. Return to the ship for lunch and sail to Mljet Island. Mljet National Park features five types of forest, many species of birds and two deep lakes. Tonight is the Captain’s dinner. (B, L, D)
Day 7, Fri. Dubrovnik
This morning sail to beautiful Dubrovnik. Enjoy a walking tour in the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Rector’s Palace and the Franciscan Monastery’s Pharmacy. Return to the ship for lunch. Remainder of day at leisure to enjoy Dubrovnik. Dinner tonight at a local restaurant. (B, L, D)
Day 8, Sat. Dubrovnik
After breakfast transfer to the airport for departure. (B)
