Day 1: Venice
Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. Balance of day at leisure to explore enchanting Venice.
Day 2: Venice
Today’s walking tour includes the Piazza San Marco, the magnificent Basilica San Marco, the splendid Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Afternoon at leisure in Venice and overnight. (B)
Day 3: Venice – Florence
This morning transfer to the rail station to pick up the high speed train from Venice to Florence. Enjoy an interesting ride through Italy’s most beautiful regions of “Veneto, Emilia Romagna & Tuscany”. Upon arrival in Florence transfer to the hotel. Balance of day free to get acquainted with the birthplace of the Renaissance. Overnight in Florence. (B)
Day 4: Florence
Today visit the beautiful Piazza Del Duomo to see the Cathedral of Santa Maria Dei Fiore, the Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Romanesque Baptistery of St. John with the exquisite bronze doors by Ghiberti. Later visit the Academy of Fine Arts which houses Michelangelo’s superb ‘David’ and many of the master’s unfinished works. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 5: Florence
A full day at leisure to explore this magnificent city. Florence is rich in galleries and museums, testimonies of its leading role in Italy as cultural center during the Renaissance. (B)
Day 6: Florence – Rome
Transfer to the Florence railway station to pick up the high speed train to Rome, the “Eternal City”. Enjoy a panoramic view of Tuscany, Umbria & Lazio regions before arriving into Rome’s Termini station. Transfer upon arrival to the hotel. Overnight in Rome. (B)
Day 7: Rome
Morning at leisure. This afternoon tour ancient Rome’s major sights and skip the line for the archaeological areas. Inside the imposing coliseum breath the bloody past of the amphitheatre and its atmosphere lead by a passionate and expert guide. Admire the splendid Arch of Constantine and climb the Palatine Hill and walk on the legendary Via Sacra or “Sacred Way”. (B)
Day 8: Rome
Day at leisure to wander through this majestic city. Nowhere more than here can one get a sense of the continuity of Italian civilization. In the streets or on the piazzas, in the gardens and churches, or in front of the palaces, one can understand why Rome has always considered itself a capital, eternally renewing herself and finding strength in her rich past. (B)
Day 9: Rome
This morning transfer to the airport. (B)
